The motion provided by the power generator of an excavator is conveyed to the track link by the running motor and sprocket rim. The teeth of the sprocket rim should fit the track link well and be able to drive the link steadily. Even when the link stretches due to wear and tear of its pin and bushing, the teeth should fit well. Typically, a sprocket rim is located at the rear of the excavator’s running device.
